Mizu the (macaque) monkey is a theoretical mascot that would help promote the Olympic games. “Yokohama 2030” was chosen as the guiding time and location. With marketability at its focus, the design utilizes culturally relevant motifs and shape language to create appeal, all while being feasible within the toy manufacturing processes. Thus, both illustrations and plastic-casted prototyping were used to explore these considerations.
